Welcome to Infant Halloween Costumes

What is it about babies in infant Halloween costumes? Anne Geddes made a career of photographing cherubic cheeked darlings in various poses and costumes. She was wildly successful because, quite frankly, babies in cute costumes are absolutely irresistible! Family photo albums always give a thrill when both Halloween and Christmas photos pop up. We tend to forget how cute the kids were in their costumes, so don’t forget to have your camera and videocam at the ready every holiday.

It used to be that the only costumes one could find for Halloween were cheap and flimsy knock-offs but in today’s online market, infant Halloween costumes that rival those Anne Geddes used in her photography are readily available: so now you can photograph your own sweet cherub and make your own cards and posters! Isn’t this cute?:

Infant Halloween costumes enable every member of the family to be involved, and dress up no matter how small they are. There is a huge choice when looking at the costumes and it may take some time to decide what to buy. You will need to consider the age of the child, and if they are going to grow anymore before Halloween. There is no point buying a costume in advance, for it not to fit on the day and needing to change it for something else.
You will also need to think about whether the child is having their own particular infant Halloween costumes, or being part of a theme with the family. Group costumes can be a great deal of fun, and ensure that everyone is involved. All children have their own favorite characters and costumes, and will be more inclined to want to wear it if they like it. Whether your child wants a pirate, or a buzz Lightyear costume they can be found in shops, and online with ease.
Buying infant Halloween costumes can be difficult as there are several different things to consider. You will need to find out if there is a theme for the party, or they can wear what they like. Finding a comfortable costume for children is always difficult as they can be very fussy. Children move far more than adults, and the costume must be flexible, and comfortable. The infant Halloween costumes also need to be safe.
Your children are likely to be out and about trick or treating, and they need to be seen easily. Unfortunately Halloween calls for a great deal of black and dark colored costumes making it harder to see the children. Try and find infant Halloween costumes that are bright like a Buzz Lightyear costume. Not only will your child look great, but they will also be seen very easily.
You also need to think about masks, and capes on the costumes. Both of these items can be a problem, and some infants will be better not having them. Capes when too long can be tripped over, and masks tend to block the infants view. Some children hate masks as they cannot see properly, and face paints are usually the better option.
The infant Halloween costumes need to fit well, and have no loose parts that can come off, and choke them. Also the costume should not be too heavy, or complicated to wear as they will likely tire of the costume very quickly. Although you want your infant to look great, remember that they have to enjoy the whole experience. If it uncomfortable, hot, or awkward they are less likely to want to dress up the following year.
There are some fantastic infant Halloween costumes to choose, and you will spend hours deciding on the right one. Spending a huge amount on a costume is not advised as your child will grow before they can wear the costume again. However, if you choose a costume that is not Halloween themed such as a Buzz Lightyear costume, they will be able to wear it to several other parties. As with all items of clothing children have, you want to try and get the most from them.

If you have a bunch of friends with babies you could even recreate a poster similar to Anne Geddes’ bumblee bees with our Bumble Bee Costume!
